Bread Pudding


Ingredients:

5 cups milk
20 bread slices cutted in cubes
6 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 can (410 g, 14.4 ounces) condensed milk
1 can (315 g, 11 ounces) evaporated milk
1 stick of butter
1 small box of raisins
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon of rum
11 "wide x 13 1/2" high baking dish

For the syrup:

2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1 package-8 ounces (222 grams) "Pitted Prunes"
1 small cinnamon stick

Preparation:

In a mixing bowl, put the milk and the pieces of bread.  until the next day. Refrigerate all night.  Add the eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla, condensed and evaporated milk . Divide the mixture into three parts and blend each one for 10 seconds. 


Grease a pan and add the liquid, add the raisins. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.























For the syrup, place all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over bread pudding.

Carrot Muffins




Ingredients:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 cups shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup pineapple mermelade  
  • 2 (1 oz) raisins packages
  • 2 (12 cups) muffin pans
Preparation:
  1. Mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, ginger and salt.
  2. In another bowl, beat eggs, add sugar, oil, carrots, pineapple mermelade and raisins.
  3. Grease the muffin pans and place the mixture. Bake at 350 F for 15 or 20 minutes.

Oven Time: 15 to 20 minutes

Potato Custard



Ingredients:

1 cup of boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes (unsalted)
3 1/2 cups milk
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation:
  1. Blend for one minute at high speed, potato cup with 1 cup of milk.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, bring to a boil the remaining milk, cinnamon, sugar, salt and vanilla and cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for 30 minutes to thicken.
  3. After this time, remove from heat, cool and serve.

Homemade Nutella




Ingredients:
  • 2 cups whole hazelnuts
  • ¼ cup bitter cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ cup almond milk or one of your own
  • Baking sheet
Preparation:
  1. Proceed to remove the nuts from the shell, using a nutcracker; place them on a baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes at 200 ° C.
  2. After that, place the hazelnuts in a food processor (I used my blender) and grind for a few minutes, until they begin to release their oils.
  3. Then add cocoa powder, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt; grind until smooth.
  4. Put in a covered container and refrigerate.

Homemade Frappuccino



Ingredients:

  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sweet cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation:

Place all ingredients in blender and blend on high speed for a few seconds only, in order to have ice chips.

Cookies for Christmas



Ingredients:
  •     2 1/4 cups flour
  •     1 teaspoon baking soda
  •     1/2 teaspoon salt
  •     1 teaspoon white vanilla extract
  •     2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter
  •     2 eggs
  •     1/2 cup white sugar
  •     1/2 cup brown sugar
  •     1 cup "semi-sweet chocolate chips"
  •     1-4.75 oz. (134 g. ) package spicy drops
  •     1-1.69 g. (47.9 oz.) package m&m chocolates candies



Preparation:
  1. Mix flour, baking soda and salt.
  2. Beat the butter, white sugar, brown sugar and white vanilla extract until smooth.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Then, go slowly adding the flour mixture. Finally, add the "semi-sweet chocolate chips". 
  3. Divide the dough into thirds. Add 2 tablespoons gumdrops to first part, 2 tablespoons m&m chocolates to the second and nothing to third. 
  4. On a cookie sheet, place a spoonful of the mixture and bake at 350 ° F. for 8 minutes. It could be better to place only 10 cookies in the tray and bake 5 times.

Lemon Pudding


Ingredients:
  • 2 (14 ounces) cans condensed milk
  • 2 (315 gramos -11 ounces) cans evaporated milk
  • 16 graham crackers crushed
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Lemon slices
Preparation:
  1. In a mixing bowl, place milk and mix well. Add lemon juice, stirring well until the mixture thickens.
  2. Place  half of the crushed cookies in a mold and add the mixture. Freeze for several hours.
  3. Serve over crystal glasses; garnish with a spring of crushed cookies and a slice of lemon.

Beef with Orange Sauce













Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 pounds beef eye round, trimmed of fat 
  • 1/2 gallon (64 oz) orange juice 
  • 2 slices bacon, chopped 
  • 1 tablespoon oil 
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 tablespoon sugar 

For the meat filling: 
  • 6 pitted prunes 
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped

Preparation: 
  1. Make a deep hole in the middle of the meat and fill with chopped prunes and bacon. 
  2. In a skillet, saute the meat over medium heat for sealing and prevent the filling fall out. 
  3. Tip the meat into a large pot and pour the orange juice, sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat for 1 hour and 55 minutes. Then, remove from heat and cut into slices.
  4. In a small skillet, saute the remaining 2 slices of bacon and set aside. 
  5. Remove some orange juice and mix well with the cornstarch, pour into the saucepan and continue cooking over medium heat for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Serve hot with sauce and fried bacon on top.
