- 2 cups all purpose-flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2/3 cup salted butter
- 1 2/3 cups white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/3 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation:
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degress F.
- Prepare the cake pan with flour and chocolate, after oiling. I used 8 inch round.
- Sift the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder into the bowl and mix until combined.
- Beat butter, sugar and add the eggs one by one.
- In another bowl, combine cocoa, milk and vanilla with the sifted dry ingredients, beginning and ending with flour.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 minutos until a cake tester come out clean. After this time, remove the cake from the oven. Cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then turn it out.
- You can decorate the cake, sprinkling over a little powdered sugar or placing on top a heart cookie cutter with powdered sugar.
This looks delicious (and the hearts are such a pretty touch!). This would be perfect to link-up to my Create It Thursday post...it's live now! http://www.lambertslately.com/2013/05/create-it-thursday-4-plus-features.html
